信息和沟通在现代社会中十分重要。E-mail作为一种以计算机为媒介的异步沟通方式被视为“因特网所有应用之母”。本文就E-mail运用于大学英语学习所产生的利与弊进行了客观分析,并指出:E-mail只是大学英语学习过程中的一种新的超越时空维度的辅助手段。虽然大学英语教师应培养学生基于E-mail的英语学习自主性,但是,只有E-mail与大学英语课堂教学的合作与互补才会使英语学习更加高效。
