高粱是世界重要的粮食作物,在中国主要用于白酒酿造。红缨子作为酱香型白酒生产的主要原料,是目前中国累计推广面积最大的高粱品种。现有的多个高粱参考基因组均来自于饲料和能源用品种,与专门用于白酒生产的中国品种存在显著的遗传差异。而且由于采用测序技术的固有局限性,高度重复的基因组区域(如端粒和着丝粒)难以精确组装和注释,导致现有高粱参考基因组中仍然存在大量的间隙(gap)区域。
芝麻(Sesamum indicum L.)是含油量最高的一年生草本油料作物。芝麻枯萎病由Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. sesami(Fos)侵染引起,是芝麻两大真菌病害之一。开展抗枯萎病关键基因挖掘对解析芝麻等农作物抗病遗传机制、实现品种抗性改良具有重要意义。目前,尚未从芝麻栽培种中发掘出与枯萎病抗性相关的优异基因(位点)。
