日本熊本大学的研究人员发现能防止细胞老化的酶——SETD8。在他们采用人类纤维芽细胞进行的实验中,通过改变遗传基因,使得这种酶的分泌停止,于是细胞迅速老化;利用药物对这种酶的作用进行抑制后,细胞也会加速老化。这一发现有望通过药物控制加大或抑制该种酶的作用,使正常细胞减缓衰老,或者使癌细胞加快老化、停止增殖。
