汤天明，男，1981年6月生，副教授，硕士生导师，江苏省青年艺术家协会副主席、江苏省摄影家协会理事、江苏省摄影理论委员会秘书长。
2002年毕业于南京政治学院广播电视新闻学专业，2005年毕业于南京师范大学新闻学专业，获硕士学位。2005年起任新闻与传播学院新闻摄影系教师，主要从事视觉政治、中国摄影史、人文教育等方面的研究和教学。
