近期，《自然》和《自然·天文》同步发表2篇文章，报告了国际天文学家团队使用甚长基线干涉测量（VLBI）方法观测研究大熊座快速射电暴（FRB）的结果。中国科学院新疆天文台南山26米射电望远镜作为欧洲VLBI网成员,全程参加此项目观测，贡献了大量观测时间，助力揭示FRB起源。
