星际复杂有机分子,尤其是生命相关分子(如糖和氨基酸),可能最终被运送到早期地球,从而逐渐演化为生命(图1)。因此,对星际复杂有机分子形成机理的研究,是解开宇宙生命起源之谜的核心课题。近年来,随着国内外射电天文望远镜灵敏度的大幅提高,星际空间中越来越多的复杂有机分子被探测到,包括多环芳香烃(PAHs)。然而,观测到的PAHs在星际空间中如何起源,长久以来都没有定论。
