在欧洲核子研究中心（CERN）的大型强子对撞机（LHC）上的CMS实验中国合作组和中科院高能所计算中心的共同努力下，北京CMS实验远程运行亚洲区域中心（ROC@Beijing）于日前建成，7月下旬启动跨区域的运行值班准备工作和试运行，8月15日左右将正式开始运行。

介绍了CMS RE1/2 全尺寸阻抗板探测器的束流测试结果.探测器气体室的阻抗板表面采用不需要淋油的特殊光洁处理,外支撑框架采用铝质蜂窝板,以保证足够的强度以及整个RPC所占空间尽量小.在GIF的束流测试结果表明该样品在高辐射本底下能够达到满探测效率.时间分辨率以及噪声水平都符合CMS实验的要求.
